Footballer Cyrille Regis grew up in Harlesden. In 1975, 17-year-old Regis was scouted when he was seen playing in Regent's Park by John Sullivan from Molesey Football Club. In 1977, he left Molesey and went to play for West Bromwich Albion, who played in the First Division. In total, he scored 112 goals for the club before joining Coventry City in 1984.
