Medal awarded to Ernest Stephenson for competing in the 1908 London Olympic Games. Ernest was a gymnast who lived in Kilburn and Cricklewood. One side of the medal shows a chariot being pulled by four horses with a driver and a victorious athlete wearing a crown of laurel leaves. The reverse shows a winged figure of Victory wearing a crown of laurel leaves and holding a trumpet. The inscription reads ?In Commemoration of the Olympic Games held in London 1908? and lists the locations of the previous Olympic Games.
