This photograph shows four smartly dressed young men standing in Neasden Underground station, holding up ?STOP KNOCKING NEASDEN? flyers. In the 1960's, the town became a national joke, due largely to the satirical magazine ?Private Eye?, which was originally printed in Wembley. The editors had to drive through Neasden to get to the printers and began making fun of the town ?because it was such a grotty place?.
