The film begins with footage of boys playing soccer on football field. This is followed with views shot inside a train of girls on a railway journey. This is followed by film of a boat journey, including leaving Dover and entering a continental port with fishing boats (presumably Calais). Some of the smartly dressed girls are filmed walking along a street and at the tomb of the Unknown Soldier by L'Arc de Triomphe. Some views over Paris are filmed from the top of the Arc including famous sites like the Champs Elysses, the Sacre Coeur, and the Eiffel Tower. The film continues with visit to some gardens, Notre Dame cathedral, the Eiffel tower, the Palace of Versailles and its gardens, the Hameau de la Reine with Marie Antionette's cottage, the Sacre Coeur, the Montmartre funicular and the River Seine. The school party then move on to Rouen, visiting its Cathedrale Notre-Dame de Rouen, and the port of Rouen with its transporter bridge (this bridge was destroyed in 1940 by the French Army to stall the advance of the German troops). The remainder of the film is shot back London, and features a sports day competition with events held in school field by Doyle Gardens. The events include sprints, an obstacle course, the sack race, the long jump, and the high jump. Both boys and girls are competing (but in gender separated groups).
