Description
Scarf advertising the Harlequin Line. The scarf is white with blue letters reading 'The Harlequin Line'. There are small blue harlequin figures on either end, with red tassles on the sides. The name Harlequin was given to the Euston-Watford Junction train line in 1988, following a public competition to find a name. The name is thought to be a combination of two stations on the line, 'Harlesden' and 'Queen's Park'. Network SouthEast managed the line at this time, but it is now managed by Transport for London and is part of the London Overground. In 1992, another competition was held to name a shopping centre in Watford, and that too was given the name Harlequin.
