First International Rodeo or Cowboy Championships, Wembley Stadium - British Empire Exhibition 1924

Official Programme from the Rodeo held at Wembley Stadium during the British Empire Exhibition. After an incident in which one of the cattle was injured during steer roping, the RSPCA had the organiser charged with cruelty. Several cowboys and cowgirls gave evidence in court and the case was dismissed. The Rodeo continued without steer roping.
