Images on two disks used in the Made in Brent feature on the Machine Shop in Park Royal which has become renowned for its special effects creations and model making expertise. The Machine Shop designs and produces special effects ranging from pyrotechnics, snow, smoke and rain to animatronics as well as making models and rigs for filming and exhibitions. Projects range from commericals, exhibitions, live events and feature films including British Telecom adverts featuring ET, the BRIT awards and working with Michael Jackson. On the TV series Walking with Dinosaurs, they built a 14-foot long Opthalmosaurus that moved its eyes, mouth and body underwater. The company created the models from Thunderbirds, including Lady Penelope and the famous pink car Fab 1 in a campaign against road tax dodgers. It was founded by Paul Mann in 1993 and has seven staff.
